AMAR SEVA SANGAM


Amar Seva Sangam is founded and run by wheel chair users and is totally involved developing this project as a ‘Valley for the Disabled’ where we have Amar Seva Sangam as a central resource centre with all facilities under one roof for any disability and about 800villages with 14000+ disabled population as client base (Service Users) being catered through an innovative community participatory initiative called "Villaged Based Rehabilitation Initiative".

Our centre has developed from scratch to about 30 acres of land now with several projects for disabled where we have about 230 disabled children and youth in-campus and more than 1000 day scholars in our High School, Medical Testing Unit, School for Special Children, IGNOU & Alagappa Higher Education Centre and various vocational training program. The Spinal Post Acute Care Centre and Early Intervention program are our pioneering program which are very few in our country. The demand for our services far exceeds our existing facilities but we are able to manage with fast turnaround of patients and strong village based and Home based follow-ups post discharge.

VIVEKANDNDA KENDRA


Man-Making education through 64 Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas for tribal and rural children in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Assam, Andamans, Tamilnadu and Karnataka for 20000 approximately students and Hostels for Vanavasi children.For this Vivekananda Kendra took up a survey of nearly ten thousand villages in the District of Kanyakumari, composite Tirunelveli (before being split into Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi), Ramanathpuran, Virudhunagar and Sivaganagai.You can also contribute in this Gyan Yagna,joining as a teacher - as nation builder or sponsoring a child education - accompaniment in nation building.To View Our Six month report Apr to Sep 2019 List Click Here

Vivekananda Kendra Rural Development Programme


Vivekananda Kendra Rural Development Programme conducted Eye camps at 4 places, in Kanyakumari, Nellai and Virudhunagar districts in which 666 were treated for their eye ailments and 122 underwent a cataract operation. 25 persons were given eye medicines and 19 persons were given spectacles. During Medicare Programme by VKRDP, 1939 patients were examined and treated for various common ailments, through 14 Rural Medical Centers in Kanyakumari,Nellai and Thoothukudi districts.

SAIRAM SPECIAL SCHOOL


Sai Ram special school at Madurai is having mentally retarded children as students and all their working expenses are being taken care by OM CHARITY INDIA FOUNDATION BANGALORE. Their teachers'salary have been met by us. The main motivation is to build awarness and educate the public that mental retardation was quite different from mental illness and that children can be trained in self help skill and gainful employment skill that would enable them to live indepent and dignified life. Our aim is to help our students blossom as individuals capable of comprehending the joys & opportunities that life affords, & to empower them to overcome challenges by the acquisition of self reliance.


SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN PROGRAMME


We are donating monthly to SINGLE TEACHERS SCHOOL for their social activities and in turn they are doing humanity welfare programms such as constructing toilet with water facility in remote rural areas.The Single Teacher Schools has handed over 5 Toilet cum bathroomsto the beneficiaries at Madhuramangalam villages Kancheepuram District on July 14th 2019. Also 100 saplings were handed over to the villagers. The total cost of the Project is Rs 2.50 Lakhs, and is funded by TVS Dynamic Global Freight Services Ltd., Chennai.


In Spite of COVID pandemic, we have completed 50 toilet cum bathrooms at a cost of Rs.25,00,000/- and handing over the same to the beneficiaries in the villages of Edaiyarpakkam, Thirupanthiyur, Kanthur and Thirumanikuppam Villages of Thiruvallur and Kancheepuram Districts. On account of Corona scare, we have not done any function while handing over the toilet cum bathrooms.
